Khudri Dates تمر الخضري

Khudri grows in the orchards of Al-Qassim, Al-Kharj and Wadi Hanifa around Riyadh, and for decades has formed the backbone of Saudi date trade thanks to prolific palms and excellent tolerance of storage and shipping. Consignments reach more than thirty countries.

Its wrinkled skin is a reddish brown; the flesh is chewy and moderately sweet with a light berry note. It never overwhelms what it is served with, which makes it a favourite alongside cheese and nuts and inside fillings.

Khudri is the ambassador of Saudi dates abroad: affordable, consistent and packed at scale for charity programmes, food aid and supermarket shelves alike.
