1. Acceptance & Scope

By using the Dates Oasis platform (website, Heritage Map, Knowledge encyclopedia and the B2B Watheeq origin-trust program) you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including the Electronic Transactions Law and the E-Commerce Law and its Implementing Regulations.

2. Accounts

Accounts may be created with email and password or via Google sign-in. You are responsible for keeping credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Information you provide (name, farm name, region) must be accurate and kept up to date.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or submit misleading data, with notice where practicable.

3. Provenance Certificates (B2B)

Provenance certificates issued through Watheeq are self-declarations by the farmer regarding variety, quantity and harvest coordinates. The platform performs technical verification (electronic identity, location within the Kingdom, record integrity) and is not an agricultural certification body or quality laboratory.

Any certificate can be verified via a public link/QR code showing the farmer name, farm, variety and status (valid/revoked) without exposing contact data. The platform may revoke a certificate where tampering is suspected.

4. Acceptable Use

Prohibited: submitting false data, circumventing protection mechanisms (proof-of-work challenge, rate limits), automated scraping without permission, or misusing other users' content or data.

5. Intellectual Property

Dates Oasis editorial content, imagery and marks are protected under the Saudi Copyright Law and international treaties. Personal, non-commercial use with attribution is permitted. To report infringement see our Copyright & IP Policy.

6. Limitation of Liability

The platform is provided "as is". We do not warrant the accuracy of all heritage or agricultural information and, to the extent permitted by law, accept no liability for commercial decisions made in reliance on a provenance certificate or platform content.

7. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; Saudi courts have jurisdiction over any dispute, with amicable settlement sought first.
