Najran

In the far south, where mountains meet the fertile Wadi Najran, grow dates unlike anything in the north. The pale, rare Bayadh is the region's signature, watched over by historic mud-brick fortresses and the ancient ruins of Al-Ukhdud.

Thanks to the southern warmth, Najran's harvest arrives early — its rutab among the first to reach Saudi tables each summer.
